Early Life & Education P.M.A. Salam was born on 13 June 1952 in the Tirurangadi region of Malappuram district to Muhammad Haji and Fathima. His early education was at Tirurangadi Government High School, followed by studies at Government Arts College, Kozhikode, and Farook College. He subsequently pursued legal education and obtained a Law Degree from Government Law College, Kozhikode. Entry into Public Life Salam entered public life through the Muslim Students Federation (MSF). Legislative Career P.M.A. Salam entered the Kerala Legislative Assembly in the 2006 Assembly election, contesting from the Calicut-II, now Kozhikode South, constituency on the INL ticket.
